Alex H. Coston of Paris, Rt 4, died at the Sanitarium of Paris where he had been under surgical treatment a week. He was 35 years old, a native of Louisiana, but reared in the Broadway community. He had operated a store there for several years, and was agent for the Paris News at Broadway.

Services were arranged by Brown-Roden and held at the Midway school auditorium, conducted by Rev P.F. Herndon of the First Congregational Church and the Rev W.R. Howell, Baptist pastor at Howland. Burial at Evergreen Cemetery. Pallbearers were C.M. Dees, Frank Stone, Allen McMillan, Leonard Higgins, Curtis Hutchings and Charles Rogers.

Mr Coston leaves his wife, Mrs. Lois Coston; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. H.L. Coston of Broadway, a brother, J.B. Coston, and seven sisters; Mrs. Nellie Jones, Mrs. Les Smith, Mrs. Mildred Stripling and Miss Lucille Coston, all of Broadway; Mrs. Beulah Buchanan of Paris, Mrs. Alice Cooper of McAlester, Okla., and Mrs. Mabel St Clair of Hazeldale community.

Married Lois Dee Parker in Soper, Choctaw County , Oklahoma in 1924. They had no children but he claimed all of his nieces and nephews as "his own".
