Funeral Sunday of Mrs. John W. Cutler of Portage. The funeral of Mrs. John W. Outler was held at 1:30 Sunday afternoon at her home in Portage township. The Rev. W. J. Douglass officiated and the Portage quartet choir sang "Abide With Me," "Rock of Ages," and "Nearer My God to Thee. " There were many flowers, among them roses and carnations from the woman's foreign missionary society; a wealth of white hyacinths, Easter lilies and lilies of the valley from the Masonic lodge at Portage; white roses from the Carpenter's Corners Sunday school, and many flowers from friends. The casket was covered with English violets and pansies. The bearers were William Wood, Henry Sweet land, Jackson Stevens, Herbert Boylan and two other neighbors. Burial was at Dry Prairie cemetery.
