GRANBURY - J.P. "Lefty" Lancaster, retired co-owner of Maybelle Sportswear in Granbury, died Saturday in a Granbury hospital. He was 83. Funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Acton Baptist Church. Burial will be in Acton Cemetery. Wiley Funeral Home in Glen Rose is in charge of arrangements. The family suggests that memorials be made to the Lions' Organ Eye Bank, 1420 St. Louis St., Fort Worth 76104.
Mr. Lancaster was a member of Acton Baptist Church and the Lions Club.
Survivors: Wife, Maurine Lancaster of Granbury; son, Jere Lancaster of Granbury; two sisters, Lorena Heller of Victoria and Mary Ella Hunt of Fort Worth; two brothers, William Lancaster of Los Angeles and James Dale Lancaster of Fort Stockton; and three grandchildren.
