She was born June 15, 1932, in McGuffey to Clifford and Freda Dorman Allen, who preceded her in death. On Jan. 9, 1954, in Harrod she married Earl Corbet, who survives. They celebrated their 56th wedding anniversary together.
Mrs. Corbet was employed in the medical office of Dr. David Neilsen in Waynesfield for nearly two years before moving to Saginaw in 1962. She began working as a registered nurse at Saginaw General Hospital in 1964, where she served for 30 years, retiring in 1994. She graduated from McGuffey High School in 1950 and from the Lima Memorial Hospital School of Nursing in 1953. She was a member of the Saginaw General Retirees group. She and her husband attended Hopevale Church.
Survivors also include a son, Tim Alan (Jan Harris) Corbet, of Cedar, Mich.; a daughter, Susan Louise Corbet, of Saginaw, Mich.; a brother, Richard Clyde (Nancy) Allen, of Lima; two sisters, Evelyn Marine (Jim) Scott, of Bucyrus, and Geraldine Mae (Ron) Newman, of Kenton; a grandson, Bryan Michael Corbet, of Cedar, Mich.; and several nieces and nephews, and many great-nieces and great-nephews.
Services will begin at 11 a.m. Thursday at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Alger.
