Drydahl Funeral Held Saturday at McIntosh
Funeral services for Mrs. Mathilda Drydahl of McIntosh were held Saturday October 15, 1977 at Our Savior's Lutheran Church. Rev. Gaylen Ose, assisted by Rev. Ralph Rokke, officiated and the Reese-Hoialmen Funeral Home of McIntosh was in charge of arrangements.
Mathilda Drydahl was born August 9, 1883 to parents Ole and Susan Marum in Goodhue County, near Kenyon, Minnesota. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith and came to the McIntosh area with her family in 1886. They settled in Sletten Township.
She was united in marriage to Joseph Drydahl in 1903. Most of her adult life was spent in the McIntosh area. She moved into town in 1945 where she has since resided. She was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church and a very active member of Ladies Aid and all church activities.
Mathilda Drydahl passed away Tuesday, October 11, 1977 at the Fosston Hospital at the age of 94 years, 2 months and 2 days.
Survivors include two sons and four daughters: Nels of McIntosh; and Joseph of Minneapolis; Mrs. Vern (Martha) Nichols of Fallon, Nevada; Mrs. Andrew (Minnie) Salvhus of McIntosh, Susan Drydahl and Marion Moore both of Minneapolis. Also surviving are 15 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Joseph, who passed away in 1942; two sons Obert and Harry, two daughters Anna and Mabel, two brothers and three sisters.
Casketbearers were Alfred Voxland, Ingman Grundyson, Johnnie Oak, Ordean Fosse, Ted Nesseth and Albert Nesseth.
Mathlda was born August 9, 1883 in Minnesota to parents Ole Marum (Norway) and Susan Overby (MN). Her husband Joseph Dyrdahl had died. She was a resident of McIntosh. She died October 11, 1977 at the Fosston Municipal Hospital in Fosston and was buried in Our Savior's Cemetery in McIntosh.
