MYTON, Duchesne County - Velma Katherine Richens Dahlmar Riggs Bartley, 63, Scotty's Junction, Nev., died Nov. 29, 1971, in a Salt Lake hospital following a long illness.
Born May 2, 1908, Vernal, to Henry Thomas and Arthema Mott Richins. Married Arthur Dahlman, March 19, 1939; he died March 31, 1934. Married Bertram Riggs; he died March 31, 1965. Married Paul Bartley, March 22, 1968, Las Vegas. Owner-operator Slim's Place at Scotty's Junction.

Survivors: husband; son, Theodore, Scotty's Junction; daughter, Mrs. Troy (LaVae) Ramsey, Las Vegas; stepsons, Leo Riggs, Hyrum Riggs, both Las Vegas; eight grandchildren; mother, Kearns; brother, sisters. Thurla, Afton, Mrs. Phelma McKenna, all Myton; Marvin, Sandy; Lenar, Eden, Weber County; John, Arcadia, Duchesne County; Ervin Murray; Lowell, Kearns; Arlo, Salt Lake City. Funeral Thursday, 1 p.m., Myton Ward chapel where friends call two hours before services. Burial, Myton Cemetery.
