Mrs. Eliza Ann Whitis, 85, of 150 Cotter Avenue, died Thurday at the Somerset City Hospital after an illness of three weeks.
The daughter of the late James and Rachel Eaton, she was born August 9, 1882 in Pulaski county. She was married to C.C. Whitis, who preceded her in death. Mrs. Whitis was a member of the Cotter Avenue Church of God.
Survivors are the following children, Clyde B. Whitis, Disboro, Ind.; David W. Whitis, Cynthiana; Elmer F. Whitis Columbus, Ohio; Mrs. Mattie L. Sowders, Mason, Ohio; Pearl H. Whitis, Sidney, Ohio; Mrs.Edith Williams, Frankfort, and Lester G. Whitis, Compton, Calif.; 21 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at the Cotter Avenue Church of God with the Rev. Waltere Mauldin officiating. Burial in the Somerset Cemetery.
