Henry Wilson Cowger, 70 of 1855 E.Whitmer St.died at 12:40 pm Monday in the home of his son,Carroll Eugene of St. Petersburg, Fla. Mr.Cowger was stricken with a heart attack shortly after he and his wife arrived in St. Petersburg for their vacation. He died four hours after the attack. He was employed by Youngs Packing Co.. He was a member of the Westminster Presbyterian church.
Mr.Cowger was born Sept.2, 1883 in Macon county, a son of John M. and Almertie Bainter Cowger. He married Julia L. Heinrich Dec. 1, 1951. Beside his wife, and son, he leaves a brother, Seybert M. and a sister Mrs. Martha E. Hall, both of Decatur and one grandson, H.Eugene, now serving with the arm force in Korea.
The body will be brought to the Dawson & Wikoff funeral home. No arrangements have been made yet.
