James Fraley
James Monroe Fraley, age 84, passed away on Wednesday, June 15, 2022, at the Wood County Hospital, Bowling Green.
He was born on August 6, 1937, in McGuffey, Ohio to the late Dan and June Dolly (Watson) Fraley. On August 10, 1959, James married Ovil M. Shepherd, she preceded him in death on June 20, 1992.
James is survived by his two children: James (Barb) Fraley, Jr. of Findlay, and Brenda (Paul) Willeke of Dola; two grandchildren: Jessica Fraley and Brian (Kristin) Fraley; three great grandchildren: Hannah, Kayleen, and Aubrey; a brother, Carl Fraley of Kenton; and two sisters: Shirley England of Kenton and Sue (Steve) Spearman of Arizona.
He was preceded in death by his three brothers: Lauren, Johnny, and William Fraley; and three sisters: Doris Shepherd, Joy Rush, and Barb Collins
James retired from JDR Excavating, where he worked as a heavy equipment operator. He was a veteran who served in the U.S. Army from July 13, 1960, to July 3, 1962. James was a member of the Findlay Moose Lodge #698.
Funeral services will begin at 12:00 PM on Tuesday, June 21, 2022, at Hanson-Neely-Allison Funeral & Cremation Services, Alger with David Holbrook officiating. Burial will be in Preston Cemetery, Alger, with graveside military rites conducted by the U.S. Army Honor Guard and the Ada VFW Post #9381 Honor Guard.
Visitation will begin two hours prior to the service from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Tuesday, June 21, 2022, at the funeral home in Alger.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Hardin County Veterans, Kenton and/or Bridge Hospice, Findlay.
