S. Nathan Flowers was born September 13, 1961 in Clinton, Oklahoma to Alice Lorene and Roy Wesley Flowers. He passed away January 7, 2010 at Sayre, Oklahoma at the age of 48 years, 3 months and 24 days.

Nathan moved with his family from Erick to Sayre in 1973. He was married to Janet Ann Ferguson at Sayre, Oklahoma on August 31, 1981 and they remained in Sayre to make their home. Nathan was a master of many skills and had worked in carpentry and the oilfield but his main passion was working as a mechanic restoring old cars and going to car shows. He also loved spending time with his grandsons.

He was preceded in death by his dad, a daughter, Tammy Christie and a granddaughter, Karissa Nichole Judd.
Survivors include his wife Janet of the home, one daughter, Samantha Flowers-Benton of Sayre, Oklahoma; two grandsons, Toby Christie and Draykin Cole Benton; his mother, Lorene Shelton, Sayre, Oklahoma; three sisters, Teresa Thompson, Sayre, Oklahoma; Dottie Street, Carter, Oklahoma and Charlene Holder, Elk City, Oklahoma and five brothers, Keith Flowers, Quitaque, Texas; Randy Flowers, Sayre, Oklahoma; Roger Flowers, Carter, Oklahoma; Lester Flowers, Sayre, Oklahoma and Gary Flowers, Sayre, Oklahoma.
Services were held Monday, January 11, 2010 at Sayre First Baptist Church officiated by Rick Dyson and Gary Quinn. Burial followed at the Sayre-Doxey Cemetery under the direction of Rose Chapel Funeral Service.
