Mrs. Gladys Leota Nelson, 68, died Thursday evening about 10:05 p.m. at her home at 131 West Cornhill. She was born in Caldwell County and spent most of her life here.
She was employed at the Y.W.C.A. in St. Joseph for seven years, but returned to Cameron where she has been employed at the Cameron Community Hospital, and just recently had accepted the position of secretary of the Chamber of Commerce.
Mrs. Nelson is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Irene Chrisman of Cameron, Missouri, and Mrs. Betty Marquette of Overland Park, Kansas, two brothers, Dow McDaniel of Pea Ridge, Arkansas, and Eugene McDaniel of Ottawa, Kansas, three sisters, Mrs. Blanche Irving of Cameron, Missouri, Mrs. Madge Cloughley of Kansas City, Kansas, and Mrs. Anna Wilson of Kidder, Missouri, and seven grandchildren.
Services are scheduled for 1:00 p.m., Saturday, at the Baptist Church. Rev. Herbert Clinton and Rev. Glen Dilley will officiate. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery in Cameron.
The family will hold visitation at the Poland-Thompson Chapel this evening from 7:30 p.m. till 8:30 p.m.
