Reynoldsville lost one of its best known residents, when Mrs. A. W. Pentz, of that place, passed away Saturday evening, about ten-thirty. Mrs. Pentz had been in poor helth for the past two years but was only confined to her bed for the past six weeks, slowly failing until death came Saturday evening. She was of a bright, cheery disposition never complaining during her long illness and fought so bravely to live. The deceased is survived by her husband and son, David, of Reynoldsville and four sisters, Mrs. G. M. Alcorn, Mrs. M. E. Shaffer and Miss Eva McBrier, of DuBois and Mrs. J. L. Alcorn, of Butler. Mrs. Pentz was born at Rochester Mills, Indiana County, but spent most of her girlhood days in DuBois and is very well known here, moving to Reynoldsville about eight years ago.
Services will be held at the home in Reynoldsville, Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock, services conducted by Rev. Gahagan of Reynoldsville, and Dr. Rev. J. Vernon Bell, of DuBois, after which the remains will be brought to DuBois and interment will be made in the Rumbarger cemetery.
