George H. Munch Dies in Newark; Funeral Here

George H. Munch, a former well known and highly liked DuBois resident, passed away Saturday morning at 11 o'clock at the home of his sister, Mrs. Samuel Smith, of Newark, Ohio. The death of Mr. Munch was very sudden, passing away while sitting in a chair talking with his brother-in-law. The deceased had been sick for about two months, passing through an attack of pneumonia at that time. The pneumonia attack weakened his heart, but there was no indication of the suddenness of the end.

Mr. Munch lived as a young man in DuBois, working for several years at the then Hecht-Cummings Clothing Company. He was a young man of pleasing personality, and was very active in the social life of the city. He had a large number of friends who will regret to learn of his death.

Mr. Munch was 51 years of age at the time of his death. He was united in marriage to Miss Alma Reider, a resident of DuBois, who survives him. He is also survived by two brothers, Lanty, of Maryville, Tenn.; Bert, of Pittsburgh, and one sister, Mrs. Mayme Smith, at whose house he died.

The remains of Mr. Munch will arrive in DuBois on the noon flyer from Pittsburgh and will be taken to the Moore funeral home, where services will be held in the chapel at 1:30 this afternoon. Burial will be made in the Rumbarger Cemetery.
