Aged Resident Called By Death Yesterday P. M.

Mrs. Harriet Gaffney Clarke, a resident of this city for many years, passed away at her home, 117 Park avenue yesterday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock, after being ill only since 9:30 o'clock yesterday morning. Mrs. Clarke was 60 years of age at the time of her demise. She was born at Fall Brook, Tioga county, February 16, 1864, and came to DuBois on August 22nd, 1892, having resided in this city since that time. She was a member of the Eastern Star, Bethany chapter, DuBois and also of the White Shrine. She was also a member of the Keystone social club, and was a devoted member of the Episcopal church. She served as organist for many years.

She is survived by one sister, Mrs. James Gardnar, of Morris Run, and the following children, Mrs. Charles Tice, John Russel Clarke, Mrs. Chester Johnston and James Sherwood.

Funeral services will take place on Monday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock from the Church of Our Savior, Father Drake, pastor of that church will officiate at the services.
