Joan Walsh is my sister from my mothers first marriage to Oliver Walsh and by my mother's account she was a bright, happy, energetic child desiring to participate and learn everything. She was diagnosed with Wilm's Tumor at the age of three and treated and cared for by Dr Durand Benjamin of St Louis's St Anthony Hosp. She attending her first year of school until she left us at the age of 5 years 6 months and 11 days. I never met my sister, in fact I've never even seen a picture of her, but by all accounts I've much to be proud of. Wilms Tumor is a rare childhood cancer that presents itself in the kidneys and its symptoms are something every parent should be aware of. They are:

* Abdominal Swelling
* A protruding bump on the abdomen
* Abdominal pain
* Unexplained fever
* Blood in urine

God Bless you
