Jean H. Ayers of West Chester
She was the wife of Robert R. Ayers, with whom she shared 57 years of marriage.
Together they have one daughter, Karen Jean Ayers of West Chester.
Born in West Chester, she was the daughter of the late Charles F. and Clara Mae Clark Gibson.
She was a 1941 graduate of West Chester High School, where she was a cheerleader and active in sports.
She was a 20-year employee of the former Leonard's Children's Clothing, West Chester.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church, West Chester, where she was a Sunday School teacher for over 50 years and was active in the United Methodist Women's Society.
She was also an avid bowler.
In addition to her husband and daughter, Jean is survived by a brother, Jack Gibson of West Chester, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, March 21, at the United Methodist Church of West Chester, 129 S. High St., West Chester, where family and friends may call from 9 a.m. until the time of the service.
Interment will be in the Green Mount Cemetery, West Goshen.
