Mrs. Alva (Luvena Tuggle) Major of Warrensburg died Saturday (Feb. 29, 1976) in Americana Nursing Center, Decatur.
Mrs. Major was born the daughter of Isaac and Ida May Tuggle. She was a member of Warrensburg United Methodist Church. She married Alva D. Major, who preceded her in death.
Surviving are her son, Merle of Little Rock, Ark.; daughters, Mildred Ferry, La Plata, MO.; Ruth Hogendobler of Overland Park, KS.; Ida Bella Grandfield of Warrensburg; sisters, Marjorie Cozad of Decatur; Hazel Buckley of Argenta; eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Tuesday in Dawson & Wikoff Chapel. Interment was in Illini Cemetery, Warrensburg.
Three brothers, two half brothers and one half sister preceded her in death.
