Harold Benjamin Brandt, 79, New Haven, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2007, at New Haven Care Center.

Mr. Brandt was born March 1, 1928, in Detmold, the son of Edward Brandt and wife Josephine, nee Lagemann.

He was united in marriage to Lorene Edna Von Behren Sept. 23, 1961, in Senate Grove.

Mr. Brandt was a member of Ebenezer Stone Church, Gerald.

He was a farmer.

Mr. Brandt was preceded in death by his parents; his wife on Aug. 4, 2007; one sister, Elda Bredemeyer; two brothers, Victor and Ralph Brandt; and three brothers-in-law, Harvey Von Behren, Ralph Rohlfing and Lawrence Bredemeyer.

He is survived by one sister, Alice Rohlfing, Hermann; four sisters-in-law, Helen Brandt, Selma Holtgrewe and husband Melvin and Evelyn Von Behren, all of New Haven, and Mildred Brandt, Hermann; one brother-in-law, Louis Von Behren and wife Jeanelle, Lee's Summit; nieces; nephews; great-nieces and -nephews; other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services were held Saturday, Dec. 22, at Toedtmann-Grosse Funeral Home, New Haven. The Rev. Becky Schmidt officiated.

Burial was at Immanuel United Methodist Cemetery, Senate Grove.
