Born 10 April 1923, in Detmold, he was the son of Edward and Josephine Brandt, nee Lagemann.
On 19 April 1952, he married Helen Schutt at Bethany Church in Berger.
He was a farmer and a member of the New Haven American Legion.
Mr. Brandt was a veteran of the United States Army and served in WWII.
He was a member of the Ebenezer Stone Church in Gerald.
Mr. Brandt was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Ralph Brandt.
Survivors include his wife; one son, Calvin Brandt, and wife, Donna, of New Haven; two sisters, Elda Bredemeyer, of New Haven, and Alice Rohlfing, of Hermann; and one brother, Harold Brandt, of Hermann. He is also survived by three grandchildren.
Funeral services were held on Friday, 10 March 2006, at Ebenezer Stone Church in Gerald, Rev. Richard Brueseke officiating.
