Ruth Burns, 89, of Arkansas City, Kansas, died Monday, January 14, in a Tulsa Nursing Home. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ava Burns and three sons. She was a member of the Methodist Church and the Daughters of the American Revolution.
She is survived by five sons, Wallace Burns of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Arley Burns of Venita, Oklahoma, Adryan Burns of Kansas City, Kansas, Harvey Burns of Boulder, Colorado and Glen Burns of Frankfort, Illinois; one daughter, Geneva Anderson of Tulsa; two sisters, Lula Officer of Huntsville and Kate Schubert of California; 22 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 19 at 2 p.m. in the afternoon at Alabam Church under the direction of Moore's Funeral Home of Tulsa, Oklahoma.
