Littleton, IL - Ruth I. Lickey, 96, of Littleton passed away at 7:49 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 26, 2009, at Snyders Vaughn-Haven Nursing Home in Rushville.
She was born on Oct. 25, 1913, in Schuyler County, Ill., the daughter of the late Thomas and Julia (Auglur) Loring. She married Caleb Wilson Lickey on Sept. 13, 1929, in Rushville, and he preceded her in death on Jan. 19, 1998.
Also preceding her in death were one son, Vernon Lickey; and one daughter, Mary Cox; two brothers, Jim Loring and Wade Loring; and two sisters, Nellie Roof and Addie Bidwell.
Surviving are one daughter-in-law, Peggy Lickey of Brooklyn; four grandchildren, Janis Finley and husband Gary, Anita Durham and husband Curt, Tim Cox and wife Karen, and Lyle Lickey and wife Wanda; six great-grandchildren, Julie Anthony and husband Damon, Jennifer Thies and husband Darren, Jill Pruvost and husband Travis, Jay Wessel and wife Kristy, Kayla Lickey and Amanda Lickey; and six great-great-grandchildren, Kyle Wessel, Christopher Parke, Karley Wessel, Katelyn Wessel, Tait Pruvost and Alexander Anthony.
Interment will be in the White Oak Cemetery near Littleton.
