She was born April 2, 1933, in Schuyler County, Ill., the daughter of Wilson and Ruth Loring Lickey. She married Eugene Cox on Sept. 24, 1960, in Rushville, and he preceded her in death on May 10, 1971.
She is survived by a son, Tim Cox (wife, Karen) of Mapleton; her mother of Rushville; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Vernon Lickey.
Mrs. Cox was a graduate of Rushville High School and was employed at Bemis Manufacturing Company for 35 years, retiring in 1998.
She was a member of Kingston Mines United Methodist Church, the Bemis 20 Year Club, and the Transportation Club of Peoria.
Burial will be in Walnut Ridge Cemetery in Virginia.
