She was born July 14, 1904, at Ruskin, Nebraska, to Mr. and Mrs. Martin Olsen. Her mother died when she was an infant after which she was adopted by her aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Jens Wagensen. She grew to young womanhood in Ruskin before moving to Denver, Colorado, where she lived the remainder of her life.
She was married to Carl A. Carlson on November 22, 1928. A daughter, Delores, was born to them. He died in 1942. In 1957 she was married to Homer Stephens. He died in 1970.
She worked for many years as a cashier for Denver Dry Goods and Baur's Cherry Creek.
She was a member of P.E.O. Chapter A.G. and Prince of Peace Lutheran Church. She was also a Red Cross volunteer at Denver General Hospital.
She is survived by her daughter Delores Easton and her husband of Aurora, Colorado; a sister, Mary Wade of Escondido, California; a brother, Ezra Olsen of Hardy; foster brother, Fred Wagensen of Gillette, Wyoming; three grandchildren and one great granddaughter.
Services were held at Moore-Howard Mortuary and burial was in Crown Hill.
