Frank James Carey worked for the WPA as a rock mason. He worked on the wall of a ballpark in Humboldt KS.
On the Monday before he died on Saturday he told his boys to be careful going to school. He said something was going to happen to someone in the family but he did not know what or to whom.
Frank came home from work on Wednesday and said he had pneumonia. Saturday Frank passed away at home. The funeral was held on Sunday.
After Frank died, Vada worked for an Overall factory in Humboldt KS until the factory closed. Vada then worked at Hartner Café.
