CORBETT Lillian Gotham -August 23,1923 -Mrs. Lillian Gotham Corbett, wife of R. Corbett, of Oil City, died last Monday morning, Aug. 20, in the Oil City Hospital following an operation for appendicitis. The deceased was born 51 years ago at Fertigs, Venango county. She lived in Oil City for 22 years, excepting five years she spent in Pittsburgh. She was united in marriage with F. R. Corbett, a son of the late Nelson Corbett, of Corsica, who now survives, with one daughter, Charlotte. She is also survived by the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. C. H. Hood, Erie; Mrs. M. W. Asdale, Pittsburgh; Misses Ethel and Inez Gotham, Detroit, Mich., and P. P. and W. B. Gotham, Oil City. Mrs. Corbett was a devout and faithful Christian and was prominent in religious and charitable work. She was an active member of Grace M. E. Church and particularly interested in the Parent-Teacher Association. She was distinguished as the possessor of many Christian graces and admirable traits of character and had a large friendship wherever known. Funeral services were conducted at the family home Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock, and the body was then taken overland to Corsica where interment was made.
