Berwick woman last worked at Country Maid. Pauline G. (Gensel) Chamberlain,82, of Brittain Street, Berwick, died Thursday, May 19, 2005, at Bloomsburg Health Care Center. Born Sept. 27, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Laura (McCarty) Gensel. In her early years, she was employed by the Consolidated Cigar Factory, Wise Foods, and Deluxe Homes. Her last employer was Country Maid Sportswear. She was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church, Berwick, West Berwick Hose Company Auxiliary, and the Senior Circle. Preceding her in death was her husband, Raymond A. Chamberlain,
who died April 24, 1985; two brothers: Donald and Kirbert Gensel; and four sisters: Isabelle Slusser, Leah Hess, Frances Bennette, and Irma Baker. Surviving is her daughter, Joanne Grindstaff of Berwick; two sons: Larry R. Chamberlain and Richard A. Chamberlain, both of Berwick; 12 grandchildren; and two Great-grandchildren. A visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Sunday from the Mayo Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Chestnut St., Berwick, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, May 23, with the Rev. Fred J. Fields, her pastor, officiating. Interment will be in Roselawn Cemetery, Berwick.
