Larry R. Chamberlain
Vietnam veteran was huge Mark Martin fan
Larry R. Chamberlain, 61, of LaSalle Street, Berwick, died Thursday, Dec. 10, 2009, at his home.
Born June 19, 1948, he was a son of the late Raymond and Pauline (Gensel) Chamberlain.
A graduate of the Berwick Area Senior High School, Class of 1966, Mr. Chamberlain went on to serve as a DC 3 in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. Following his career in the military, Larry held employment with Deluxe Homes, Berwick Forge, Design Homes and Tri-County Lumber.
Larry maintained memberships with the West Berwick Hose Company, where he was a life-member, the Garibaldi Society, and the Berwick VFW.
Additionally, Larry was a huge Mark Martin fan and also enjoyed fishing and camping very much.
In addition to his wife of nine years, Sharon (Lutz) Zwalkuski Chamberlain, Larry is survived by three daughters: Danyelle Chamberlain and her companion Steve Noll; Andrea Chamberlain and her companion, Steve Ridall, and Jessica Chamberlain Watson, all of Nescopeck; two step-daughters: Shannon Labour and her husband, Jamin, of Bloomsburg; and Amy Breisch and her husband, Jeff, of Berwick. Also surviving are one brother, Richard Chamberlain, of Bloomsburg; one sister, Joanne Grinestaff, of Berwick; as well as three grandchildren: Sarah Noll, Davin Ridall and Savannah Watson; and four step-grandchildren: Zackary Breisch, Nicholas Breisch, Paul Miller and Alyssa Labour.
A visitation will be held Sunday, Dec. 20, 2009, from 2 p.m. until the time of services at 3 p.m. at the Berwick VFW Post, 1433 Fairview Ave., Berwick.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Mayo Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Chestnut St., Berwick.
