SFC Allen Fluellen, 76, of 4435 Roman Drive, Columbus, GA passed May 28, 2009 at his residence. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 2, 2009 at New Central Baptist Church, Phenix City, AL with Rev. Emmett Henry officiating. Burial will follow in Ft. Benning Main Post Cemetery, Ft. Benning, GA. Visitation is today from 1 - 8 p.m. according to Taylor Funeral Home. SFC Fluellen was born February 24, 1933 in Dallas, TX to the late R.D. Fluellen and the late I.G. Fluellen. He was a retired civil service worker and was a member of New Central Baptist Church, Phenix City, AL. He was a SFC in the US Army. Survivors include his wife, Ruby Fluellen of Columbus, GA; sons, Ray Fluellen of El Paso, TX, Alexander Pearson of Columbus, GA and Jason M. (Beverly) Pearson of Atlanta, GA; daughters, Linda J. (Kevin) Haggard of Louisville, KY, Cassandra (Gerald) Simpkins of Atlanta, GA and Vicki L. (Maurice) Jordan of Columbus, GA; brother, Napoleon (Bonnie) Fluellen of Dallas, TX; sisters, Billie Sneed of Dallas, TX and Frances Scott of Dallas, TX, who passed away after SFC Fluellen on May 28, 2009; 13 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
