Robert P Jochimsen, 72, of Ontario died Aug 6 at Pomona Valley Hospital Medical Center.
He was born on Los Angeles, and had lived in La Verne, Pomona and Claremont for many years and in Ontario 17 years.
He was a citrus rancher in La Verne for many years and had worked for the Claremont School District.
He was a World War II Navy verteran.
He was a member of the Claremont Lodge No 436 F & A M and member of the Al Malaikah Shrine RV Club.
He was a member of Claremont Methodist Church.
Mr Jochimsen is survived by his wife, Elizabeth; two sons, Bruce of Ontario and Scott of Campbell; a daughter, Christine Jochimsen of Covina; and a brother, Howard of Claremont.
Services will be held at 11:30am Saturday at Todd Memorial Chapel, Pomona. Interment will be private.
Memorial contrubutions may be made to the Shriner's Hospital for Crippled Children, 3160 Geneva, Los Angeles 90020, or to Friends of La Verne, 3020 Peyton Road, La Verne 91750 for the restoration of La Verne Heights School Auditoruim.
