Everett Bennett, 65, Greentown R.R.1 , died at 5:30 p.m. Saturday in St. Joseph's Memorial Hospital after a long illness.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the Pickett Funeral Home with the Rev. Raymond Jones in charge. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery.
Friends may call after 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Born Nov. 17, 1906 in Tipton County, he was the son of Wilson and Elizabeth (Drake) Bennett. On Nov. 11, 1928 he was married to Nellie Fern McQuiston, and they had lived in Greentown and Howard County all their married life.
Mr. Bennett was a member of Main Street Congregational Christian Church and the Greentown Minute Men.
He was a former manager of Regal Packing Co. at Greentown, and retired in 1985 from the Kokomo plant of Libby, NcNeill and Libby Co.
Surviving in addition to the widow are one son, Lora Eugene Bennett, Lockport, Ill; two daughters, Mrs. Chester (Lorena) Hendricks, Greentown and Mrs. Charles (Loretta) Easley, Kewanna R.R. 1; his father, Wilson Bennett, Los Angeles, Calif.; one brother, Ralph Bennett, Phoenix, Ariz.; two sisters. Mrs. Ralph (Mary) Morris, Los Angeles; Mrs. Dean (Margaret) Robeson, Kokomo; nine grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. One brother, Morton Bennett is deceased.
