Obituary in The Bienville Democrat (Arcadia LA) 27 Nov 1930:
Mr. W.T. Baker died at the home of his son, Mr. T.T. Baker in Tulsa OK on Thursday of last week [sic Nov 13] and the remains were shipped here, arriving Saturday morning. Until about a year ago, Mr. Baker enjoyed the best of health, and no one could realize that he was in his 83rd year.

He was a loyal member of the Baptist church, a good man and one highly respected by all who knew him. For many years he was one of the most successful planters of this parish, but before his retirement ten years ago, he was engaged in the mercantile business in Mt. Lebanon.

Funeral services were conducted at the Baptist Church here Saturday afternoon by Rev. J.C. Cox. The altar was covered with many lovely floral offerings and although the weather was very inclement, a large crowd was present to pay tribute to their friend. Interment was made in the Mt. Lebanon Cemetery.

The deceased is survived by three sons T.T. Baker of Tulsa OK, L.W. Banker of Haynesville, and J.E. Baker of Greensboro NC; one brother, Wimberly Baker of Mt. Lebanon; two sisters Mrs. D.D. King of Many and Mrs. W.E. Jones of Homer, besides many other relatives.
