Wayne Albert Dean died Monday, December 28, 2009, at his home in Midwest City, OK, at the age of 84. He was born April 1, 1925 in Boswell, OK, to Walter and Bessie Dean.

Wayne was a member of Community Christian Church of Moore, OK since 1968. He joined the Army in 1944 and served in the South Pacific during WWII. He married Betty Merle Goode on November 28, 1946, and they had five children; Roger, David, and Paul of Oklahoma City, Hillary of Durant, OK and Kimberly Frost of Midwest City.

He is survived by his wife, Betty, of 63 years; brother, Glen Dean of Midwest City; twin sisters, Wanda Prier of Shawnee and Linda Alford of Tecumseh; his five children and their families; 12 grandchildren – Jennifer Kotil of Omaha, NE, Randy Dean of Sulphur Springs, TX, Christopher Dean of Oklahoma City, Steven Dean of Yukon, Shannon Dean of Oklahoma City, Courtney Moseley of Collinsville, OK, Casey Dean of Edmond, Jeremy Brandon of Oklahoma City, Kristen Ratzlaff of Moore, Rachelle Dean of Durant, and Connor and Shane White of Oklahoma City; 18 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and three brothers, Wesley, Ray, and James "Jimmy" Dean.

Services will be held at Candlewood Chapel 10AM Thursday December 31, 2009 in Midwest City with interment to follow in Sunnylane Cemetery under the direction of Ford Funeral Service.
