Mrs. Abenicia Archuleta
Durango == Mrs. Abenicia Archuleta 69 a resident of Durango for the
past 10 years and a former resident of Pagosa Springs Colorado for 58
years died at her home 208 Fifth Ave. Durango Colorado Sunday after
an extended illness .She was born in Antonito Colorado on Aug.23 1896.
She and her husband Victor were married at Pagosa Junction Colorado
on Oct. 22 1916 and would have celebrated their 50th wedding
anniversary next year. She was a member of Sacred Heart Church .
Besides her husband of the family home , Mrs. Archuleta is servived by
one daughter Mrs. Juanita Olguin of Igancio : one son Joe L. Archuleta
of Durango :one sister Mrs. Elvira Giron of Los Angeles :Three
brothers Flaminio Ortega of Los Angeles California and Celestino
Ortega of Durango Colorado and Pablo Ortega of Pagosa Springs
Colorado . Eight grand children and several nieces and nephews also
survive.
Rosary services will be held from Sacred Heart Church Thursday at
7:30 PM Funeral services will be held from Sacred Heart Church
Wednesday at 10 AM with the Rev. Peter Verd officiating . Interment
will be in Greenmount Cemetery under the direction of ParkLawn
Memorial Chapel .
