He was born at Zurich, Switzerland, and lived here 38 years. He was a tool and die maker, employed by P. R. Mallory Company, and retired in 1957. Mr. Widmer was a member of the Mallory 25-Year Club, the Bell Point Free and Accepted Masons, charter member of Amrita Grotto at Fort Smith, Ark., and Indianapolis Liederkranz.
Surviving are two sons, Walter and Adolph Widmer Jr., both of Indianapolis; two brothers, Walter Widmer of Fort Smith, Ark., and Oscar Widmer of Geneva, Switzerland, and a sister, Mrs. Rosa Brandenberger of Zurich, Switzerland.
