POWELL--Late of 87 E. Bryant, Dec. 21, Sarah F. Powell, aged 79 years, beloved mother of Mrs. Ada Russell of Ostrander, Wash.; Mrs. Fred E. Smith of Husum, Wash.; Mrs. Grace Wright of Salado, Or.; Mrs. Minnie McMeeken of Grangeville, Idaho, and B.H. Powell of Portland. Funeral services will be held Monday, Decmeber 24, at 2 P.M. at the chapel of Miller & Tracey. Interment Riverview cemetery. BR 2691.

Sarah first married a Daniel Smith in 1867. Daniel had a bad temper and alcohol problem and the marriage ended in divorce. They had 4 children=
Emma S. Smith
Ada Agnes Smith
Cinderella Smith
Frederick Smith

It is unknown as yet what happened to Daniel Smith or when or where he died.

Sarah remarried to a Charles B. Powell in 1878 and on the 1910 census he was going by George B. Powell instead of Charles for some reason and died with the name George.
