Sarah Agnes (Sanders) McRae (born in 1819) is the 2nd daughter of Dr. John H. Sanders and Polly Chalfant Gray. She is a younger sister of Zerelda Gray (Sanders) Wallace, and an older sister to Nancy Singleton (Sanders) Beatty , Mary Elizabeth (Sanders) Duncan, and Jemima Taylor (Sanders) Gatling. She is the mother of Agnes Singleton (McRae) Crowder (1847-1920), who is also buried nearby in Crown Hill Cemetery. She is also the mother of Zerelda McRae, and Saunders McRae, by her 2nd husband, John Harris McRae. John H. McRae survived her, remarried to Emily S. Turpin, and had another child, Paul McRae (b. 1873 in VA). Sarah Agnes Sanders was first married to Charles H. Davidge Sr.(who died in 1844), son of Judge Henry Davidge and Sarah Crow, of Trimble County, KY. Sarah Agnes Sanders and Charles H. Davidge had two children, a son,Charles H. Davidge Jr., and a daughter, Honor Davidge.
