Tressie Onie Cones was the daughter of William Washington and Margaret Henrietta (Bayes) Cones. She was born in Sept. 11 1879 in Marion Co., Indiana and died in Aug. of 1974, in Marion Co., Indiana.
She was the sister to the following siblings: Annie Laurie; Sarah Alice; Cora Frances, Charles Grant; William Frank; Nora Mae and Bertha Jane Cones.
Tressie married first, Fredrick Thompson Moore on May 18, 1898 and together they had one son; Harry W. Moore. Later Tressie divorced Fredrick and married second, William Charles Kirk, on April 9, 1917.
Tressie was an embalmer and owned her own mortuaries through out Indianapolis, Indiana. Tressie is inside the Community Mausolium at Crown Hill cemetery, next to her husband William Kirk.
