John W. Bevers, 50, of Amarillo died Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2002.

Services will be at 10 a.m. today in South Georgia Baptist Church with the Rev. Bob Miller, pastor, officiating. Burial will be at 2 p.m. in Lakeview Cemetery in Lakeview by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors,2820 Virginia Circle.

Mr. Bevers was born in Groom and lived in Amarillo for 30 years. He was an electrician involved in construction. Mr. Bevers had coached Little League baseball and was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 602 and South Georgia Baptist Church. He married Johnenne Cunningham in 1986 at Decatur.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Matt Bevers of Amarillo; a daughter, Becky Bevers of Amarillo; his mother, Louise Farris of Amarillo; his stepmother, Sandy Bevers of Hedley; four sisters, Mary Crump of Canyon, Susie Bevers of Hedley, Debbie Crain of Channing and Kathy Malone of Amarillo; three brothers, Lonnie Bevers of Phoenix, and Teddy Bevers and Tommy Bevers, both of Amarillo.
