Wayne Lawson

Wayne Lawson, 58, 310 Highview St., Kingsport, died at 3 p.m. Monday (Aug. 25, 1997) in the Emergency Room of Holston Valley Medical Center after a short illness.

A lifelong resident of Kingsport, Mr. Lawson was employed with A & L Industries until his illness. He was a Baptist.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Lakie Kilgore Lawson.

Surviving are his wife, Mabel Lawson, Kingsport; three sisters, Mrs. Robert (Wilma) Mullins, Church Hill, Mrs. A.J. (Barbara) Stout, Kingsport, and Mrs. Richard (Edith) Parrott, Bristol, Tenn.; two brothers, Clarence Lawson and Kenneth Lawson, both of Kingsport and several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours are from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home.

Services will be conducted at 1 p.mm. Wednesday in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Charles Roberts officiating.

Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.
