Services will be at 2 p.m. today (Thursday) at the Megrue-Price Funeral Home Chapel for Eynner Andersen, 88. A long-time Superior resident, he was employed as a dock clerk at the Champlin Petroleum Company terminal for 30 years prior to his retirement. He died Monday at the Good Samaritan Center, Superior.

The son of Zacharias (sic) and Ane Catherine (sic) Krestjansen Andersen he was born near Abdal Jan. 7, 1908. He attended rural schools in the Bostwick and Mt. Clare areas. He married Nancy Mae White Feb. 11, 1931. An avid gardener, he was a member of the First Baptist Church, Valley Lodge of the Odd Fellows, Danish Brotherhood, and Elks Lodge.

He was preceded in death by his parents, five sisters, four brothers, and a son-in-law, James Johnson.

Survivors include his wife; one son, Jack, Lincoln; a daughter, Mrs. Wes Abbott (Nancy), St. Clair, MO; eight grandchildren; one step-grandchild; 11 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Esther Herrmann.

The Rev. Tim Hinshaw will officiate at the funeral with burial in the Evergreen Cemetery.
