Charles "Floyd" Johnson, age 68, passed away Saturday, May 6, 2006, at Medical Center Hospital.

He was born October 20, 1937, to Andrew Clinton and Ollie Frances (Bertling) Johnson in Fayette County, TX. He married Thelma Ray Headrick on May 28, 1960, in Odessa. He was the owner of Floyd's Texaco in West Odessa from 1977 to 1999. He was a member of Sunset Heights Baptist Church.

His father, and his sisters, Doris Johnson, Jo Ann Kuntschik and Sadie Mae Denman, all preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife, Thelma Ray Johnson of Odessa; son, Rev. Charles (Chuck) James Andrew Johnson and wife, Sharla, of Fritch, TX; daughter, Cindy Denise Curnutt and husband, Dwight, of Odessa; step-son, Chester (Chet) Headrick and wife, Gayla, of Odessa; mother, Ollie Frances Holland of Yoakum, TX; brothers, Clinton Ray Johnson, John Everett Johnson, and Wallace Lynn Johnson; sisters, Dora Vadjos, and Della Hearn; seven grandchildren, Amber Curnutt, Michael Curnutt, Amanda Latham, Rachelle Johnson, Layden Johnson, Devin Johnson, and Michael Ortiz; and two great-grandchildren, Emily Kay and Jayden Scott.

There will be a family visitation from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. on Monday, May 8, 2006, at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 9, 2006, at Hubbard-Kelly Chapel with Rev. Jess Little officiating and assisted by Rev. Charlie Johnson. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Memorials can be given to Sunset Heights Baptist Church in lieu of flowers.
