Celebration of Life Services will be 2 PM Saturday, February 17, 2007 at Providence Funeral Home with Rev. Neal Terwilliger officiating. Burial will follow at Lawrence Chapel Cemetery.
Dora was born July 9, 1933 to the late Clinton and Frances Johnson in Flatonia, Texas. She attended Del Mar College in Corpus Christi. She worked for many years in the Oil Field Industry as an administrative assistant. Dora was a member of the First Baptist Church of Taylor. We would like to extend our heartfelt appreciation to the members of her church and to Pastor David Johnson.
Dora is survived by her daughter, Doris Hatcher and husband Rusty of Thrall; grandchildren, Tina Bible of Thrall and Todd Hatcher of Austin; great-grandchild, Jessica Bible of Thrall; sister, Della Johnson Hearn and husband Jim of Flatonia; brothers, Ray Johnson and wife Dorothy of San Antonio, Everett Johnson and wife Angela of Gonzales, and Wallace Johnson and Shirley of San Antonio; 16 nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her sisters, Sadie Mae Denman, JoAnn Kuntchik, and her twin Doris Johnson; brother, Floyd Johnson.
The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to those who brought joy into her life the last ten years: LaNell Ritchey, Elijah Wright, Regina Lashey, Debbie Allen, Doris Jackson, Earl Deary, Ed and Chris DeForest, Milton Blomquist, Margery Lopez, and Shirley Mitchell.
