Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. On Monday at the St Paul Lutheran church in State Center with Pastor Don Rothweiler. Burial followed in the Hillside cemetery.
Born Ann Marie Billings on January 2, 1944, in Fort Dodge at Mercy hospital, she was the daughter of Theodore "Ted" and Gladys Billings. She received her education in the Morland schools and graduated from there in 1961.
Ann resided in Manson, Iowa for several years where she was employed as a waitress and met her future husband Merle Nolta there. In 1979 she and Merle moved to a farm near State Center and in 1980 they married. She was employed as a dietician for the State Center Manor and later for 12 years at Donnelly Marketing in Nevada. Recently she opened Ye Olde Gift Shoppe in State Center. Ann especially loved her family and this time of year, when she could have animated Christmas dolls, building things with her hands, and loved people in general. She was a very talented lady and a child at heart.
Surviving are her four children: Randy (Teresa) Milliken and their daughter Jessica of Ft Dodge, Pamela Dannen andher children, Candice Trowbridge and Ryan Dutton of Tama, Patricia (Mrs Patrick) Hallett and their children, Trent and Kayla, all of Gifford, Iowa, and Richard (Lisa) Milliken and their son Joshua, all of Ft Dodge. Also surviving her are her mother, Gladys Billings of Ft Dodge; three sisters and two brothers, Judy Ort of Ft Dodge, Connie (Mrs Gary) Clark of Ft Dodge, Ardis (Mrs Joe) Lewis of Ft Dodge, Jerry (Debbie) Billings of Pocahontas, Iowa and Gene Billings of Grand Rapids, Michigan; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her father in 1983.
