Harry Bert McPhail was born in Jefferson county, Steubenville, Ohio, February 27, 1871. He passed away to be with the Lord, June 12, 1938, at the age of 67 years, 3 months and 10 days. When a young man he came from Ohio to Scranton, Kansas, where he spent the remainder of his life. On June 6, 1894, he was joined in wedlock to Mary Anderson. To this union were born six children, 3 boys and 3 girls, all of whom are living. He leave to mourn his loss his wife, Mary McPhail; his three daughters, Mrs. Myra Swift, Kansas City, Kansas; Mrs. Norval Mabon, Scranton, Kansas; Mrs. Lemuel Livingston, Carbondale, Kan.; three sons, Harry McPhail, Keokuk, Ia.; James McPhail, Boulder, Colo.; Alden McPhail, Boulder, Colo.; five brothers, Rev. John McPail, Tulsa, Okla.; Hugh McPhail, Grafton, W.
