Deputy Albert was shot and killed when he was ambushed by Apache Indians.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Casper was a Cochise County Deputy Sheriff and discovered the second most important mine in Galeyville, a long gone ghost town in the Chiricahua Mountains. The tombstone reads "Dec 1885" but it is likely he was killed on the November 26th date. The grave is about one mile from the Galeyville site. Also listed on the tombstone is William Reese. I could not find any info regarding him. Casper named his mine "The Chiricahua Chief", rather ironic in view of how at the hands of the Apaches. It is likely they were victims of Ulzahna who led a famous raid that began in November of 1885.
