Jane was the daughter of Otto Gulbrandsen Westrum and Nikoline Olsdatter Rorhalt.

She had nine siblings: Inga Josephine, Julia Alma, Oscar, Maurice Gunvald, Oliver Odean, Severin, Minnie Augusta, Ovidia Viola May, and Effie Constance.

Jane married Even Adolph Torgerson on December 23, 1913.

They were the parents of one son, Alvin Odin.

Jane married Oskar Wilhelm Johansson on November 22, 1924.

They were the parents of one daughter, Nevina Maria.

Jane O. Johnson, 88, Clearbrook, died February 25 at theGood Samaritan Home in Clearbrook.
Funeral services were held Monday at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Clearbrook, with the Rev. Paul knutson officiating. Interment was made in Augustana Lutheran Cemetery, Clearbrook, under the direction of the Cease Funeral Home of Bagley.
Mrs. Johnson was born March 24, 1893 at Albert Lea and grew up at Stewartville, Minnesota. She married Adolph Torgerson in December 1913 at Rochester and he died in 1922. In 1917 she moved to the Clearbrook area and had lived there since. She was married to William Johnson at Clearbrook in 1924 and he died in December 1940. From 1943 until 1959 she was a cook for Great Northern Railroad crews, and since 1972 had lived at the Good Samaritan Home. She was a member of the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, the ALCW and church circles.
She is survived by a daughter, Nevina (Mrs. James) Walker, Bagley; three step daughters, Edythe Staehnke, Bagley, Irene Wold, Winnipeg, Manitoba and Jeanette Jensen, Fort Pierce, Florida; a stepson, Wallace Johnson, Superior, Wisconsin; twenty six grandchildren; several great grandchildren; a brother, Severin Westrum, Leonard; and a sister Effie Torgerson, Clearbrook.
She was preceded in death by a son, a stepson, a grandson and a great granddaughter.
