David Overton George married Sarah R Smith about 1839. David fought for the South in the Civil War along side his older sons, while his daughter, Sarah Ann George, cared for the younger children. I have not found what became of their son, Finis E George. The 1860 and 1870 census records show Finis E and Alfred F were brothers.
