Friday of last week marked the fifty-second anniversary of the wedding of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Seaton, which was quietly observed at their home in Camp Point. They were married Oct. 15, 1857, Mrs. Seaton having been Miss Nancy Ellen Curry, a daughter of the late Thomas Curry of Clayton township. Mr. Seaton has seen much of public life, having been for many years a local banker, later a merchant, also serving a term as postmaster, and one term as sheriff of the county. For a time he was landlord of the old Windsor Hotel in Quincy. Mr. and Mrs. Seaton enjoy excellent health and bid fair to celebrate many more anniversaries.
