Born in Loganton on May 15, 1926, she was the daughter of the late M. Earl and Mary M. (Cashner) Embick.
She and her husband were wed on Sept. 13, 1941 by Rev. Arthur Yeagy.
For over 30 years she was employed by Valley Manufacturing of Millheim.
Theora is survived by two sons, Fletcher M. Smith of Loganton and Neil Smith of York; three daughters, Dixie Fetzer of Williamsport, Marjorie Geyer of Loganton and Connie Schmidt of North Bend, Ore.; two brothers, Earl A. Embick of Loganton and Leonard D. Embick of Loganton; nine grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by a daughter, Patty, three brothers and two sisters.
The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 22, 2009 at 11 a.m. in the Sugar Valley Church of the Brethren, Eastville, with Pastor Ken Geisewite officiating. Visitation will be held in the church one hour prior to the service. Interment will be held in the adjoining church cemetery.
