John W. Piper Of Chilton Dies Earlv Todav At His Home

Chilton -- (Special) -- John W. Piper, 78, of Chilton, died at 5 a. m. today. He was born in Redwood. N. Y., Aug. 15. 1859, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Piper. He came to Wisconsin when a boy of 6 years and settled with his parents on a farm in Sheboygan county. The family later moved to Calumet county.

His wife preceded him in death 17 years ago.
Survivors include three sons. Harvey of Hot Springs. Ark., George of Flint. Mich., and Edgar of Chilton: five grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Frank Sharick of Detroit, Mrs. Ben Harper of Owen, and Mrs. Mary Young of Flint, and a brother, Thomas of Flint.

He was a member of the Masonic lodge of Chilton and of the order of Eastern Star. Funeral arrangements will be announced at a later date.
